Time to Talk Day

‘Time to Talk Day’ is taking place on 2nd February and we are proud to be supporting this initiative that is being run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.

It is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation that happens every year. It’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.

One in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem every year so it is important talk openly about mental health to reduce stigma, create supportive communities and feel confident to seek help when we need it. By talking about it, we can support ourselves and others around us.

We know the more conversations we have, the better life can be for everyone. Talking about your own mental health can be tough but having a chat about things has the power to change lives.

The Time to Talk Day initiative encourages us to make space in our day for a conversation about mental health. Whether this is hosting an event, chatting to a colleague, sharing information on social media or simply texting a friend to check in – we are behind it. Visit timetotalkday.co.uk/about to find out more or to see how you could get involved.

If you need help approaching the subject of mental health in your workplace, we offer courses that will give you the confidence and skills to deal with any conversations around mental health. We offer a range of Mental Health First Aid Courses, should you need assistance feel free to contact us directly.
