Why you need IOSH Training

Health and Safety is normally a phrase that sends many companies running for the hills, it’s essential yet often vital elements are missed. As a health and safety consultancy, we believe that prevention is key. Using appropriate training for staff will ensure fewer deaths and injuries preserving life, reducing business risk and loss in the long term.

There are hundreds of training courses available and selecting the right ones can be a minefield for businesses. As much as ensuring employees get the right training, it’s about not wasting company money on irrelevant safety training.

IOSH Training Courses

Why is health & safety training so important? Preventing accidents and ill health at work should be a key priority for EVERYONE. The only way to ensure that this is at the forefront of people’s minds is to provide appropriate education and training.

It is a legal obligation that everyone who works within your business has a right to know how to work safely and without risk to health. As an employer, you must provide clear instruction, information and adequate training.

Providing appropriate training will help companies manage their health and safety better. Training ensures compliance with appropriate legislation, ensures that employees are not injured or made ill by the work that they do. Ultimately it will create a positive health and safety culture. Safe working practices can often also increase productivity and quality of work.

Effect training also helps business avoid financial hardship by reducing accidents and occupational ill health.

Being an employer that has a reputation for employee commitment and development makes your company a more attractive prospect when recruiting new talent.

The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the world’s leading professional body for people responsible for safety and health in the workplace. IOSH courses are recognised internationally.
